HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 21 (ACN) The Electric Union reported on social networks that the service is being restored in provinces spanning central and eastern Cuba.
The enterprise is still investigating the breakdown of the 220 kV lines that caused a power outage in those regions.
On Saturday, a human error in the operation of a 220,000 V substation in the province of Matanzas led to a failure of the grid that snowballed into the power cut in all provinces from Matanzas to Guantánamo.
