HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 23 (ACN) The local development project La Moneda Cubana (MC) and the Alba Edison University (UAE) of Puebla, Mexico, signed an International Cooperation Agreement on academic exchanges between both institutions that responds to the Summit of the Honorable World Academy of Education and the Corporation of Companies held on October 2022, which facilitated alliances and boost social and educational leadership.
This is MC’s second international agreement with a view to developing work with young people, who are its main actors. The first one was with the Italian company Raso Group during the last Local Development Fair recently organized in Cuba.
MC’s objective is to engage young people who have no jobs nor attend school in training courses on food and beverage services, cooking and foreign languages and have benefited more than 50 Cuban state and private businesses.
Local development projects play a role in the current transformation of the Cuban socioeconomic model as one of the ways to meet national and regional needs and improve people’s standard of living.
