By the end of August, Cuba expects that around six million people will have been vaccinated against COVID-19, based on an integral strategy that advances by strata following regulatory protocols and that contemplate vulnerability and risk until reaching a coverage that guarantees sufficient immunity of the population against the virus.

The just-born diagnosed with COVID-19 in Cuba have been infected by their fathers who live with them or visit them at home, and not by a mother-to-fetus transmission, said an expert in the field.

Villa Clara continues to be the oldest province in Cuba, according to records by the end of last year, with 25 % of its population made up of people aged 60 years or older, followed by Havana and Sancti Spiritus.
