In a year of confronting the COVID-19 pandemic, students of the Universities of Medical Sciences throughout the country have played an important role, based on the concept of learning from work, which contributes positively to their academic training.

The Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery "Dr. Rafael Estrada Gonzalez" (INN) plans to start soon a study of neurological manifestations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic in recovered patients from Plaza de la Revolucion municipality in Havana.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said that in the face of unfavorable predictions about the ongoing COVID-19 spread in the country, authorities and scientists have joint efforts to lower the prevalence of the virus on the island nation.

Norma Goicochea Estenoz, Cuban ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Head of Mission to the European Union, held an exchange with Thierry Warmoes, chairman of the Health and Equal Opportunities Committee of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Belgium.
