The Isle of Youth Municipality, south of western Cuba, could reach its worst COVID-19 peak this week ever which can result in a highly tense epidemiological scenario in the territory, according to the temporary working team against the pandemic.

Matanzas extends from today the booster vaccination with the Cuban vaccine Abdala to the population that includes pregnant women, puerperal women and lactating mothers over 18 years of age, as reported to the Cuban News Agency, Lissy Vega Rodriguez, head of the immunization process in the province.
