The historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro was interred in the Santiago de Cuba´s Santa Ifigenia cemetery this Sunday December 4, alongside the tombs of Cuba's most exalted national heroes.

The ashes of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz will arrive today in the city of Santiago de Cuba, the last point of a long journey that began last November 30 in Havana, witnessed by millions of Cubans along the entire way.

Young people, followers of Fidel Castro´s ideas, recreated today the glorious landing, led by the Commander in Chief, in Las Coloradas, site in Granma municipality of Niquero where that event happened, exactly 60 years ago today.

Alfonso Dastis Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, attended the Cuban embassy in that country to sign the condolence book for the death of the historic leader Fidel Castro, Prensa Latina news agency reported.

On the day that marks the 60th anniversary of the landing of the Granma yacht, the funeral cortege that carries the ashes of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro departed for eastern Cuba.

Just like 57 years ago, when the Caravan of Freedom passed through the province of Sancti Spíritus on its way to Havana, today it is seen in this city a multitude that wears the colors of the national and July 26 flags to receive Fidel, the Guerrilla of Time.

The inhabitants of the central city of Santa Clara took the streets early this morning to say good-bye to the cortege carrying the ashes of Cuban leader Fidel Castro which spent the night at the Ernesto Guevara memorial.

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 30 (ACN) The Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said in his farewell speech at the Havana´s Revolution Square that Fidel Castro was not gone, that he will remain among us undefeated, acquitted by History.
