 Havana, Nov 11 (ACN) Cuban young lady Marisleidys Núñez, a citizen of the Pilon town—hardly hit by hurricane Rafael—said that she thought to have seen everything after hurricane Denis affected her town in 2020. But the recent quakes changed her opinion after she saw her home collapse.

Cuba is living nowadays challenging days to the disastrous impacts that, in just a few days, have caused two hurricanes and now strong earthquakes in the East, as if the serious electro-energy situation and the tightened and omnipresent U.S. blockade that intends to choke it were not enough.

Artemisa, the province most affected by the passage of Hurricane Rafael, has today in its electrical substation power from the national system, as a result of the work to recover the networks damaged by the meteor last Wednesday.

Cuba’s National Civil Defense authorities issued a tropical storm alert (watch) Tuesday at 5 pm local time, for the central regions of Villa Clara, Cienfuegos and Sancti Spiritus, given the expected track of storm Rafael.
