Cuban leader highlights role of mass organization in achieving unity

HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 15 (ACN) Roberto Morales Ojeda, secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), recognized the role of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) in the revolutionary process in a complex scenario where the enemy expects the Cuban people to surrender.

“We cannot talk about unity without talking about the CDRs”, he remarked at the IV Plenary Session of the National Directorate of the country’s largest mass organization, stressing that much remains to be done now that unity is a priority and the values of the political-ideological work championed by the organization.

CDR national coordinator Gerardo Hernández Nordelo called for concrete strategies to solve issues as yet unresolved and praised the effectiveness of the nationwide community debates in reaching out to the population.

Attended by 79 delegates, the IV Plenary Session ratified the commitment of the organization to the Homeland and to the top leaders of the Cuban Revolution.
