Havana, April 16 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of Cuba’s Communist Party and President of Cuba, attended an awarding ceremony for workers and leaders of the Cuban Communist Party.
Diaz-Canel was accompanied by Rebel Army Commander Jose Ramon Machado and by Communist Party Organization Secretary Roberto Morales.
The ceremony takes place in the context of the 64th anniversary of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Cuban Revolution.
On that occasion, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro addressed the people during the funeral service to Cuban victims of the US bombardment of local airfields in western and eastern Cuba.
