The José Martí Training Workshop “Identity, Democracy and Decolonization” was one of the most important events of the International Forum on Activism and Social Movements in Latin America and the Caribbean recently organized in Havana by the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) to provide a space for debate and critical reflection on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.

Political Bureau member Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, and Nguyen Anh Tuan, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Party Secretary in Bac Ninh province, praised the excellent relations between the two countries and their intention to keep strengthening their ties of friendship and solidarity.

Everlyne Mwenda Karisa, Kenya's new ambassador to Cuba, assured that both nations have promising opportunities to expand and diversify their relations in several mutually beneficial sectors, including health, education, sports, agriculture, culture, trade, tourism, and scientific research.

“There is no heroic chapter in the history of our homeland in recent years that is not represented there, there is no sacrifice, no combat, no feat, whether military or civilian, heroic or creative that is not represented, there is no revolutionary or social sector that is not represented. I am not talking about organizations. When I speak of sector I speak of workers, I speak of youth, I speak of farmers, I speak of our mass organizations”.
