Havana, Feb 5 (ACN) Cuban deputy foreign minister Anayansi Rodriguez is heading the island’s delegation at the 11th Meeting of National Coordinators of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) taking place February 6 and 7 in the Honduras city of San Pedro Sula.
Rodriguez, Cuban National Coordinator at CELAC, arrived in Honduras on Wednesday to attend the forum, which will consider the alliance’s agenda for the coming months and favor exchange and coordination of CELAC members’ positions in the face of regional issues, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
Cuba will ratify its permanent commitment to CELAC as genuine Latin American and Caribbean bloc for political coordination and integration, the deputy minister wrote on X.
The Cuban delegation to the forum also includes assistant national coordinator Juan Antonio Quintanilla, who also heads the Multilateral Affairs division at the Cuban Foreign Ministry; Eugenio Martinez, general director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Foreign Ministry; and Cuban ambassador to Honduras Juan Roberto Loforte.
