HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 5 (ACN) “Tributo 2025, the new product of Havana Club's Iconic Collection, consolidates the renowned rum in Cuba and the world as a unique tribute to Cuban rum traditions with a mix of modernity, tradition and innovation”, Havana Club Internacional S.A. (HCI) marketing and sales director Amed Alvarez Tejo said at a press conference held at the Museum of Rum in Old Havana.
Cuban rum master Asbel Morales explained that Tributo 2025 was meticulously aged and finished in barrels of Redbreast Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, from the Midleton distillery in Cork, Ireland, thanks to a joint effort that brings together the richness of Cuban rum and the depth of Irish whiskey.
Upon presenting the new rum, HCI director-general Cristian Barré stressed that it has a limited production of only 2,967 bottles with a design inspired by the architecture of Havana that reflects both Cuba’s culture and the excellence of its rum, supported by the Cuban light rum masters’ knowledge, inscribed on the UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Since its inception in 2016, the Tributo Collection has honored Cuba's rich heritage and culture and highlighted the unique character of the finest and most aged Havana Club rum reserves.
Havana Club International S.A. is a joint venture established in November 1993 by the Cuban company Cuba Ron S.A. and the French Pernod Ricard Group to develop the brand at international level through Pernod Ricard's strong international distribution network.
It is now present in more than 125 countries, except in the United States, where it is banned from the market due to the unilateral and coercive U.S. Cuba policy.
