HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 5 (ACN) All documents hitherto authenticated by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) remain in force despite the official transfer of these functions to the Ministry of Justice (MINJUS).
Camilo Pascual Vizcaíno, president of MINJUS’s Corporate Legal Services, explained that the transfer does not entail any change regarding the validity of any document, nor the formalities required until now to that end.
Mr. Pascual acknowledged that the move may have caused concern among people, but stressed that the only change is the entity in charge of these proceedings, which MINJUS has taken over in full awareness of their importance and even with plans to make improvements.
Formalized on February 3, the MINREX-to-MINJUS transfer of these functions to authenticate Cuban and foreign documents to serve as formal evidence in the island and elsewhere will streamline and facilitate the formalities in registry offices and law and consultancy firm.
Together with the International Law Firm Group "Servicios Legales S.A.", MINJUS has taken the necessary steps to guarantee the continuity of these proceedings without interruptions in the authentication services.
