The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) showed its gratitude for the delivery of two donations made by the Government of the People's Republic of China and the embassy of that Asian country in Havana in support of the fight against COVID-19.

The encouraging results of the Phase II-III clinical trial of the Cuban product NeuroEpo in patients with mild/moderate Alzheimer's disease, was one of the highlights of this week's meeting of the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and president of the country, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, with scientists and experts from the Ministry of Public Health.

At the end of December 11, 29, 006,443 doses of the Cuban anti-COVID-19 Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines had been administered in Cuba, the ministry of public health ( MINSAP by its Spanish acronym) reported today.

The Pedro Kouri Institute of Tropical Medicine (IPK) has received financial support from the French Development Agency (AFD by its French acronym) to carry out the Project to Strengthen National Capacities for Surveillance and Diagnosis of Infectious Diseases.

The World Food Program (WFP) in Cuba received a donation of 250,000 euros from the Italian government to support actions to prevent anemia and nutritional deterioration of vulnerable groups.
