Havana, Jan 5 (ACN) The National Day of Cuban Science will be marked January 15 with a central ceremony in this city capital; the announcement was made Wednesday by the Cuban Minister of Science, Technology and the Environment Elba Rosa Perez.
Havana was appointed venue of the important ceremony for the local scientific, technological and innovative advancement, the minister said in a press conference.
Elba Rosa who also is a member of the Cuban Communist Party Central Committee, referred to the economic and social achievements of the city capital, but the most significant action has been the fight against the coronavirus including the mass vaccination campaign with the locally developed vaccines Soberanas and Abdala.
On January 15, 1960, just few months after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, historic leader Fidel Castro predicted that this country would count on brilliant women and men who will put their knowledge in the benefit of the people.
