Over 86 % of Cubans have complete anti-COVID-19 vaccination scheme



HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 29 (ACN) As of December 26, around 9,626,071 Cubans have completed their anti-COVID-19 vaccination scheme, which represents 86.1 % of the national population.

According to the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP its Spanish acronym) 30, 090,996 doses of the Cuban vaccines Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala have been administered in the country.

MINSAP highlights that to date, 10, 416,579 persons have received at least one dose of the national immunogens. Of these, 9, 298,216 people have already received a second dose and 8,9270,93 people have received a third one.

In its daily report, the health authority indicated that 1,449,108 people have received booster doses, 1,350,469 of them as part of the booster vaccination that is being applied to the population of selected territories and risk groups.

They emphasize that as part of the massive vaccination campaign started on July 29, 19, 653,388 doses have been administered.

As for the health intervention in risk groups and territories last May, 9, 618,619 doses have been administered. As part of the intervention study, another 454,064 doses were administered; and 266,466 related to clinical trials.
