Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel praised the International Transport and Logistics Fair held this week in Havana given the challenges facing the nation to improve public and cargo transportation.

Russian Federation Vice-president Dimitri Chernishenko paid tribute on Thursday to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution at the Santa Ifigenia cemetery in eastern Santiago de Cuba city.

Ayrat Rinatovich Gatiyatov, deputy minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, presented in Havana a diploma and a medal to Doctor of Science Fernando Gonzalez Bermudez for his contribution to the Yury Alexandrovich Orlov Moscow Institute of Paleontology and stressed that his Cuban colleague is a reference in ecology, biodiversity and environment.

Executives of the Cuban Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technologies Agency (AENTA) gave a detailed briefing in Havana to Robert Floyd, Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) about the country’s early warning systems for radiological, seismological and tsunami activity.

Cuba’s aviation entities presented their special program to the III International Transport and Logistics Fair “FITL 2025” with a view to sharing views, discuss technologies and establishing alliances bound to improve related services and infrastructures.

Cuba’s historic commitment to nuclear disarmament was ratified Tuesday by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez as he welcomed Robert Floyd, executive secretary of the Comprehensive Test-Ban-Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Laos’ General Attorney Xaysana Khotphuthone stressed in Havana the historic relations between the political parties, governments and peoples of their two countries.

Just from January 1 to March 3, 136 forest fires occurred in the country that damaged 813.14 hectares, reported in Havana the Cuban Forest Rangers Corps (CGC by its Spanish acronym), of the Ministry of Interior.
