Eastern Cuba to have color press by year's end

HOLGUÍN, Cuba, Sep 3 (ACN) The installation of modern technology at the Poligráfico José Miró Argenter in this city will allow for color printing of the national press for eastern Cuba before the end of the year, a result in line with the technological transformation process in this industry.

Carlos González Mulet, director of the entity, confirmed that the color press run is scheduled for December―following the third stage of an investment process started in the provinces of Havana and Villa Clara―and remarked that the new technology is internationally competitive thanks to its specialized machines for flatbed printing and other materials, bound to guarantee high-quality magazines, books, catalogs, and other publications.

This project is part of a nationwide program resulting from negotiations between Cuba and the People's Republic of China intended to develop capacity building in this sector and make graphic printing more competitive with better product quality.
