Cuban institution issues Solidarity Statement with Venezuela

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 5 (ACN) The National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP by its Spanish acronym) issued a statement of solidarity with the people of Venezuela and the government of Nicolas Maduro in the face of the US threats.

With this statement, the Cuban peasantry reaffirmed its commitment to collaboration, brotherhood, and solidarity with the South American nation. Due to its importance, the Cuban News Agency is broadcasting the ANAP's Declaration of Solidarity in full:

ANAP Declaration of Solidarity with the People of Venezuela.

The National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP by its Spanish acronym), on behalf of the Cuban peasantry and in defense of the principles of sovereignty, self-determination, and social justice, expresses its support and solidarity with the people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the government of Nicolas Maduro in the face of the US threats.
From our historical experience of resistance against imperialist aggression, we clearly understand the challenges facing the sister people of Venezuela in their efforts to build a just, inclusive, and sovereign social model.

We strongly reject any attempt at foreign intervention or media manipulation that attempts to undermine the popular will and the constitutional order of this sister country.

National Association of Small Farmers recognizes the courage of the worthy children of the Homeland of Bolivar and Chavez, of its peasants, workers, youth, and women, who day after day defend their right to live in peace and to decide their destiny without external tutelage.

We join their cause with the conviction that Latin American and Caribbean unity is the strongest response to meddling and domination.

From the land of Marti and Fidel, the Cuban peasantry reaffirms our commitment to collaboration, brotherhood, and solidarity, convinced that unity and firmness among peoples is not only a principle, but a revolutionary practice.

Venezuela is not alone! Cuba stands with Venezuela!
