HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 5 (ACN) PhD in Sciences Maria Esther Gonzalez Vega, a professor at the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences (INCA bhy its Spanish acronym), made a working visit to the State University of Southern Manabi, Ecuador, to supervise doctoral progress and strengthen academic cooperation, Radio Mayabeque reported .
The visit was part of the Sustainable Agricultural Production Program coordinated by INCA, and the agenda included supervising the thesis of Master of Science and Engineer Carlos Alberto Castro Piguave, who completed his doctorate in that program, according to sources at the center.
In meetings with the university community, Gonzalez Vega addressed teacher development, innovation, and the introduction of scientific results with social impact, as well as their dissemination and publication, according to the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences.
The visit included scientific exchanges and tours of areas related to experimental work at the university campus in the province of Manabi.
Based in San Jose de las Lajas, Mayabeque, INCA is a leader in plant breeding, soil management, crop nutrition, biotechnology, and agrifood resilience.
The collaboration envisioned new academic initiatives between the two institutions, aimed at strengthening doctoral training and joint projects.
