Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla sent condolences today to the people and government of Algeria for the loss of human lives and the damage caused by the forest fires that struck the African country.

The First Regional Meeting of the Heads of Governments of the Caribbean wound up Thursday in The Bahamas after three days of debates on the challenges posed by climate change.

Argentina will send to Cuba 2.7 tons of sanitary consumables in the first of several shipments of supplies to palliate the effects of the fire that broke out in a fuel base in the city of Matanzas, Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero reported, holding that "solidarity and cooperation guide [his country’s] foreign policy".
