The branch of the Vietnamese company Thai Binh Global Investment Corporation in the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM) delivered today a donation to contribute to the recovery work of the Matanzas Industrial Zone and support the victims of the fire.

Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla sent condolences today to the people and government of Algeria for the loss of human lives and the damage caused by the forest fires that struck the African country.

On the 120th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the Kingdom of Belgium, the Cuban Embassy in Brussels ratified the Island’s willingness to strengthen ties and develop more economic, commercial, cultural, university and scientific agreements.

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz held friendly meetings with regional authorities in the context of the high-level talks within the First Regional Meeting of Caribbean Heads of Government.

Cuban ambassador to Caracas Dagoberto Rodriguez received the Venezuelan firefighters who helped extinguish the massive fire that affected an oil depot in the western province of Matanzas earlier this month.

 The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) has made a donation of 1,000 euros to Cuba, to contribute to the recovery after the fire of great proportions occurred in the industrial zone of Matanzas.

Esteban Lazo, President of the National Assembly of People's Power, wished a speedy recovery and conveyed his solidarity to former Paraguayan President Fernando Lugo, who suffered a stroke and is receiving intensive care in Asuncion, the Paraguayan capital city.

Argentina will send to Cuba 2.7 tons of sanitary consumables in the first of several shipments of supplies to palliate the effects of the fire that broke out in a fuel base in the city of Matanzas, Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero reported, holding that "solidarity and cooperation guide [his country’s] foreign policy".
