Havana, Nov 22 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel arrived Wednesday in Türkiye for an official visit, as part of an international tour which has taken him to Algeria and Russia and will conclude in China.
Cuba and Türkiye share diplomatic relations since 1952 on the basis of mutual respect with frequent high-level exchanges.
Following a visit to Havana by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in February 2015, both nations have maintained sustained advancement of relations in the areas of trade, investment, tourism, air transportation and others.
Türkiye has historically backed Cuba at the United Nations General Assembly against the over-60-year US economic, commercial and financial blockade.
After President Diaz-Canel concludes his visit to Türkiye, he will head for Beijing where he will pay a state visit November 24-26 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
