Havana, Nov 22 (ACN) Cuba and Egypt signed a medical-scientific cooperation plan between their ministries of health, according to diplomatic sources.
The document was penned by the health ministers of the two countries Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and Jose Angel Portal, according to Cuban ambassador to Cairo Tania Aguiar.
The Egyptian minister recalled a recent signing of a memo of understanding for bilateral cooperation in areas such as scientific exchange, personnel training and technical assistance, according to PL news agency.
Meanwhile, the Cuban official stressed the deep relations between the two nations and the significance of cooperation in healthcare.
Minister Portal also visited the Egyptian medications regulatory authority and exchanged views with its president Dr. Tamer Essan on issues of common interest.
