Cuba and Türkiye work to strengthen legal ties



HAVANA, CUBA, Nov 25 (ACN) The president of the Supreme People's Court of Cuba, Ruben Remigio Ferro, began today a working visit to Türkiye, with the aim of strengthening cooperation and exchange between the legal systems of both nations.

This was reported on Twitter by the Cuban embassy to the Eurasian country, where Remigio Ferro and a delegation from the island are visiting, at the invitation of Mehmet Akarca, president of the Court of Cassation (Supreme Court of Appeals).

According to a statement issued by this Turkish judicial entity, during a meeting at its headquarters in Ankara, both authorities highlighted the multidimensional relations between Turkey and Cuba in the political and cultural fields.

Akarca expressed his satisfaction for the visit of the Cuban representation, and affirmed that this visit will deepen the legal cooperation between the two countries.

The Turkish Court of Cassation indicated that Remigio Ferro's program will continue with visits to the General Prosecutor's Office and the Academy of Justice.
