Cuban citizens and foreign residents in Cuba can receive international money orders from Peru and Colombia amounting to up to 1,000 dollars, announced Tuesday the Correos de Cuba Business Group.

Alejandro Gil, Deputy Prime Minister and Economy and Planning Minister noted that Cuba will maintain the centralized economic planning, which he described as a strength of the system.

Japan´s interest in trading with Cuba in areas such as tourism and agriculture was confirmed during meetings held between representatives of the Cuban embassy in Japan and local businessmen.

The Agrocadenas project, implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Cuban Ministry of Agriculture (MINAG), donated means of protection against COVID-19 for workers engaged in food production in Cuba.
