HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 3 (acn) Army General Raul Castro, President of the Cuban councils of State and Ministers, received on Friday heads of State and Government that will attend the 7th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS).

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 3 (acn) The Caribbean nations show a growing interest in having joint business with Cuba, after the coming into force of the Law on Foreign Investment in 2014, was reported today in Havana.

Vice-President of the Cuban Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas received on Friday morning in Havana the Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) of Indonesia Zulkifli Hasan, who is in Cuba invited by the National Assembly of the People´s Power (ANPP by its Spanish acronym).

Cuba's Minister of Agriculture, Gustavo Rodriguez, who is on an official visit to the United States, held meetings on Thursday with the Deputy Secretary of Agriculture, Michael Scuse, and the Secretary of Commerce, Penny Pritzker.

Alfred Marie-Jeanne, President of the Regional Council of Martinique, arrived here on Thursday to attend the Saturday sessions of the Seventh Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS).

Salvador Sanchez, president of El Salvador, will take part in the 7th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) that began on Thursday in this capital in the segment of top officials of the organization's member nations.

The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement to reiterate the support of the Cuban people and government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The Cuban government has invested over 200 million pesos in recent years in investment and maintenance aimed at minimizing the effects of drought in the country, said a representative of the National Hydraulic Institute in Havana.
