Despite the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for almost six decades, Cuba guarantees all the resources to tackle the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes COVID-19, the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP by its Spanish acronym) assured Thursday. 

Cuban government announced new measures aimed at protecting the population from the possible spread of COVID-19 in the country, PM Manuel Marrero Cruz said on Monday during his address on the Mesa Redonda TV program.

Silvia Lutucuta, health minister of the Republic of Angola, said on Monday that her government will ask Cuba for help in tackling the coronavirus pandemic that is affecting many nations around the world.
