The Association of Cuban Residents in Belgium (CUBABEL) condemned today the kidnapping of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, calling it an international crime and a violation of multiple international treaties.

Pope Leo XIV called for respect for Venezuela’s sovereignty this Sunday, following the United States military attack on the country and the kidnapping of its president, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and his wife, Cilia Flores, Prensa Latina reported.

Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia, today reaffirmed his country's position, aimed at preserving regional peace, in the face of the military actions perpetrated in the early hours of this morning by the United States against Venezuela.
