.Havana, July14 (ACN) Austria’s Communist Youth (KJÖ) issued a statement rejecting the recent US Presidential Memorandum No. 5 which further tightens Washington’s economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry’s website, Austria’s KJÖ described the US move as “an attack against socialism and Cuban sovereignty,” and denunciated that the over-60-year US siege of the island has worsened the difficulties facing the Cuban people as to the access to basic goods.
The Austrian youth organization expressed its solidarity with the Cuban people’s resistance to foreign pressures and demanded the immediate cease of what they described as a inhumane and unjustifiable policy.
