HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 15 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, expressed his heartfelt condolences on the death of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on behalf of the Cuban people and government.
On X, the president highlighted the sympathy Buhari always showed toward the Caribbean nation and recognized his legacy in the defense of African sovereignty.
On the same social media, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, a member of the Party's Political Bureau and head of Foreign Affairs, highlighted that Buhari was a defender of the sovereignty of people and demonstrated his sympathy for Cuba and its historic leaders.
