The Summit of the Americas in Panama will be an opportunity to verify the challenges of the new course of relations between Cuba and the United States, points out on Tuesday an editorial of The New York Times.

The decision to invite Cuba to the Summit of the Americas found massive support, said Panamanian foreign minister Isabel de Saint Malo.

The Antonio Nuñez Jimenez Foundation for Nature and Man (FANJ) announced in this capital its participation on April 8-10 in the Forum of Civil Society and Social Actors, one of the meetings of the 7th Summit of the Americas to be held in Panama.

Organizers of an upcoming Continental Forum in Solidarity with Cuba gathered in the Dominican Republic to consider the agenda of the event, to be hosted by the Caribbean nation.

The revision by the US Treasury of a blacklist of entities and individuals linked to Cuba was described as routine with no relation to the recent changes in Washington´s policy towards Cuba.

Cuba and the UN Education, Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO) reiterated in Paris their willingness to keep strengthening diplomatic and cooperation relations.

India and Cuba share traditionally warm and friendly relations, historic links marked by the coincidence of interests as to global issues, reads a communiqué issued by India´s Foreing Ministry, on the occasion of the visit to that Asian country by Cuba´s first vice-president Miguel Diaz-Canel.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and the Cuban First Vice-president and Politburo member Miguel Diaz-Canel, congratulated each other on Monday in New Delhi for the healthy state of bilateral bonds and expressed their wish of strengthening them.
