The First Symposium of the Max Planck Society of Germany and Cuba, Frontiers of Science, will contribute to promoting reciprocal scientific knowledge, said Aurora Fernández González, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, at the opening of the meeting on Wednesday.

Reynaldo Garcia Zapata, president of the government in Havana, reported that from the sale of construction materials and the work of various construction brigades, 101 homes have been completed out of 804 counted as total collapses. In March, more than 200 homes are expected to be completed.

José Carlos Rodríguez Ruiz, Permanent Representative of Cuba to the International Organizations based in Rome, was received by Graciano Da Silva, Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), with whom he discussed various topics of interest.
