Poor start for Cuban sailors in Asuncion 2025



HAVANA, Cuba, August 15 (ACN) Cuban sailors got off to a poor start in the sailing debut of the 2nd edition of the Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay, with the best performance so far going to Miguel Angel Abad in the men's IQFOIL class.

According to the multi-sport event's website, Abad finished sixth and earned 22 points in the first two of the three races scheduled for this Friday, and competitors are awaiting postponement.

Something similar is happening to Elizabeth Buchillon in the women's category, who finished sixth in the first race with eight points, pending the other two races postponed so far.

In the ILCA 6 (women's), Angelica Maria Fabian has accumulated a total of 33 points in 17th and 16th places, awaiting the third race scheduled. Adriano Castro Ortiz, in the Formula Kite category, has not been able to compete in any of the four races scheduled for this Friday.
