The Cuban baseball team finished undefeated its qualifying stage of the 22nd.Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz, Mexico, by knocking out 10-0 Guatemala.

Cuba achieved its second victory in the baseball tournament of Veracruz 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games by beating Mexico 10-1 to secure a spot in the semifinals.

Cuban cyclists Lisandra Guerra and Marlies Mejias won today the gold medal in the women's team sprint event at the 22nd Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz.

Cuban Seily Mendoza won the women's single epee event by defeating 15-14 the Dominican Elsa Mateo, in the continuation of the 22nd Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz , Mexico.

The return of Cuba is wonderful, Hector Cardona, president of the Central American and the Caribbean Sports Organization (CACSO), joyfully expressed in his first meeting with Cuban press when just arriving to the city that hosts the 22nd Central American and Caribbean Games.

Cuba's flag will be hoisted today at the Convention Centre forecourt of this Mexican city, headquarters of the 22nd Central American and Caribbean Games to be held from tomorrow until November 30 in four other secondary venues of that country.
