Cuba’s Casa de las Americas has just announced the contest for the 2025 Literary Award in the categories of poetry, short stories, and studies on Latinos in the United States.

Come January 9, the conference Elogio Oportuno [Timely Praise] will celebrate the 95th anniversary of the birth of the Mexican poet, painter, designer, journalist and translator Fayad Jamís at the library named after him in Old Havana.

The 23rd International Conference on African and Afro-American Culture, to be held in this city on April 12 to 16, 2025, will be dedicated to women in Africa and in the diaspora and their role in family and society.
