International movie festival addresses interpretation as a natural process

NUEVA GERONA, Cuba, Apr 8 (ACN) The III International Caribbean Film and Environment Festival “Isla Verde” organized the workshop Interpretation as an actor’s natural process, given by the Cuban actresses Mirtha Ibarra―2025 National Film Award winner―and Elba Pérez Torres, who is also a screenwriter and playwright and turned the event into an opportunity to boost the artistic and environmental training of young talents.

“This type of initiative is important both to train actors and to develop artistic and intellectual sensitivity among the participants. During the sessions, the children showed their skills at writing, acting and poetry, which reveals the positive impact of these exercises”, Ms. Pérez said.

On her end, Ms. Ibarra remarked that the Festival stands as a cultural oasis in the face of current trends in music and art which she described as lacking in sensitivity and values and stressed the need to instill respect and protection for the environment from an early age.

The actresses underscored the significance of their workshop and its influence on the lives of the participants through the promotion of values deemed essential for coexistence and environmental care as the chief pillars of the Festival “Isla Verde”.
