The Telecommunications Company of Cuba, S.A., ETECSA, announced that, from December 8, 2017, from any mobile phone in Cuba, it will be possible to send international messages (SMS) to any mobile phone in the United States.

Cuba develops multiple actions to confront the AIDS epidemic, in order to reduce new infections, late diagnosis and deaths from that disease, as well as improve the quality of life of those living with the disease.

Below, we reproduce the statement by Rogelio Sierra Diaz, Cuba´s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the situation in Honduras after last week elections.
Statement by Rogelio Sierra Diaz, Cuba´s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs:

Army General Raul Castro, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Councils of State and Ministers, paid tribute to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, at Santa Ifigenia cemetery, in this city.

With the presence of Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, and Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers, the people from Santiago paid tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.

The rate of work-related accidents in Cuba shows a decrease, as a result of the joint effort of all agencies, said Ana Julia Cleger, an official in the Labor and Social Affairs area of the Cuban´s Workers Confederation.

The Party, the State and the Vietnamese people had a new gesture of solidarity towards Cuba by donating a thousand tons of rice to help compensating damages caused by Hurricane Irma.

Cuba´s First Vice-President Miguel Diaz-Canel said that Cuban youth are the main protagonists of this Sunday's elections, which they attend to fulfill their commitment to Fidel, Raúl and the Revolution.
