HAVANA, Cuba, April 21 (ACN) Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed his gratitude for the demonstrations of solidarity at the Antifascist Cultural Marathon held at the Monument to the Revolution in Mexico City, under the slogan “All for Cuba”, stating that the island saluted with joy, affection, and gratitude this initiative in rejection of the criminal U.S. blockade.
Thousands of people participated in the Cultural Marathon, organized by the Antifascist Cultural League on Sunday, coinciding with the 65th anniversary of the Bay of Pigs victory, considered the first defeat of imperialism in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Cuban ambassador Eugenio Martínez Enrique thanked the solidarity organizations, social movements, political forces, and the Mexican people and government for their continued support.
As part of the event, a collection of supplies for the Cuban people was also organized as an expression of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
