
HAVANA, Cuba, January 27 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, congratulated To Lam in a telephone conversation on his re-election as leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).
Cuban president noted today on social media that during the conversation with the CPV General Secretary, he wished him success in his new role and thanked him for his support in strengthening inter-party ties.
He reaffirmed the commitment to continue deepening these ties through cooperation and the exchange of experiences on the processes of building socialism.
According to Prensa Latina, Diaz-Canel also praised the leadership, vision, and resolve of the CPV, headed by its General Secretary, and expressed his confidence that the Indochinese nation will advance steadily and achieve its goals for 2030 and 2045.
To Lam highlighted Vietnam's "special and exemplary" friendship with Cuba and its willingness to do everything possible to continuously strengthen traditional solidarity, expand and improve the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation, for the benefit of the people of both countries and for peace, cooperation, and development in every region and the world.
He also indicated his willingness to exchange experiences with Cuba on the DoiMoi (Renewal) process and the construction of socialism.
Both leaders expressed their satisfaction with the progress of bilateral relations in many fields and agreed to expedite the effective implementation of cooperation mechanisms, plans, and programs.
