HAVANA, Cuba, January 27 (ACN) A Cuban delegation participated at Georgia's Universal Periodic Review (UPR), held at the United Nations Office in Geneva, and reiterated its support for that country's commitment to the international human rights mechanism.
According to the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex by its Spanish acronym), the Cuban delegation made three recommendations related to strengthening inclusive policies for people with disabilities and maintaining effective measures to reinforce the prevention of and fight against human trafficking.
The third suggestion focuses on continuing to prioritize women entrepreneurs in various programs, with the aim of promoting their economic empowerment.
The Minrex report highlights that the Cuban delegation expressed its best wishes to Georgia for success in implementing the accepted recommendations.
