Pino Martínez expressed his gratitude for the solidarity shown and emphasized that the support of Cuba's friends strengthens the country's resistance to external pressures.
For her part, Nicolau reiterated the Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association's commitment to defending the sovereignty and independence of Cuba, stating that "we will always have something to do for Cuba."
The meeting took place as the Cuban state pays tribute to the combatants who died in the line of duty in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which lends greater significance to expressions of international support.
Cuban Embassy to Cyprus reported that both parties agreed to continue promoting initiatives of solidarity and cultural cooperation, as part of strengthening bilateral ties.
