HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 3 (ACN) Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel urgently demanded the reaction of the international community to the United States' attack on Venezuela on the early hours of this Saturday.
On his official account on the social network X, Díaz-Canel stated:
Cuba denounces and URGENTLY demands a reaction from the international community against the criminal US attack on Venezuela.
Our Zone of Peace is being brutally assaulted. State terrorism against the brave Venezuelan people and against Our America.
Homeland or Death! We shall overcome!
Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, also condemned this dawn's aggression against the Venezuelan people.
On X, the Foreign Minister said:
We energetically condemn the ongoing US military aggression against Venezuela.
The bombardments and warlike actions against Caracas and other locations in the country are cowardly acts against a nation that has not aggressed the US or any other country.
Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister, and Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People's Power, condemned the attacks against Caracas and other locations.
Both leaders demand the mobilization of the international community to defend Latin America and the Caribbean as a zone of peace.
In the early hours of this Saturday, a statement from the Bolivarian nation denounced "the extremely grave military aggression perpetrated by the current Government of the United States of America against Venezuelan territory and population in the civilian and military localities of the city of Caracas, the capital of the Republic, and the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira.
"This act constitutes a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter, especially its Articles 1 and 2, which enshrine respect for sovereignty, the juridical equality of States, and the prohibition of the use of force. Such aggression threatens international peace and stability, specifically in Latin America and the Caribbean, and gravely endangers the lives of millions of people."
