Cubainformación launches “Miami Fake” against anti-Cuban propaganda

HAVANA, Cuba, November 18 (ACN) Cubainformación TV premiered the program “Miami Fake,” designed to dismantling the anti-Cuban propaganda promoted by U.S. government and media outlets based in Miami, Madrid, and other cities.

As one of the news outlets intended to counter international media manipulation about Cuba, Cubainformación disseminates news, analysis, and audiovisual materials related to Cuban politics, economy, culture, and society, in coordination with state institutions and solidarity organizations.

The first installment went over headlines from counterrevolutionary platforms such as Diario de Cuba, ADN Cuba, Cubanet, CiberCuba, and Cubanos por el Mundo, all of which seek to legitimize and justify the U.S. blockade of Cuba and promote political interference on the island, and analyzed the way some media outlets politicized humanitarian aid after Hurricane Melissa, portraying an alleged absence of the Cuban state and concealing the mobilization of the Civil Defense system, which prevented loss of life in the country.

It also addressed the campaign to legitimize UNPACU leader José Daniel Ferrer, presenting him as a "political prisoner" linked to right-wing extremists such as Marco Rubio and Orlando Gutiérrez-Boronat.

“Miami Fake” also covered the UN vote against the blockade, which ADN Cuba downplayed by highlighting that seven of Washington’s allies supported the said U.S. Cuba policy, and belied the campaign about alleged “Cuban mercenaries” in Russia, disseminated without evidence by Cubanet and Diario de Cuba, despite Cuban authorities having dismantled illegal recruitment networks.

Finally, it exposed campaigns against tourism and emigration with openly pro-blockade headlines designed to discourage travel and remittances and conceal the impact of US sanctions on the national economy.

With “Miami Fake,” Cubainformación reaffirms its commitment to the truth and the sovereignty of, and solidarity with, the Cuban people, fulfilling its role as a communication service in support of the State, reinforcing the official narrative on issues of national and international importance and promoting the participation of emigrants and solidarity organizations in the defense of the Revolution.
