HAVANA, Cuba, October 21 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez received Li Zongyuan, director general of the Museum of the History of the Communist Party of China, who visited Cuba to participate in the 1st International Granma-Rebelde Festival.
During the meeting, the Cuban leader thanked his guest for the hospitality received during his visit to this important Chinese museum in September and reaffirmed his willingness to develop joint cooperation to preserve the historical memory of both parties and peoples.
"The cornerstone of relations between Cuba and China is their interparty relations, and it is on the strength of these ties that both countries are building a Community of Shared Future," Díaz-Canel said upon welcoming the Chinese delegation.
On his end, Mr. Li Zongyuan remarked that the main goal of his visit is to bolster collaboration between Cuban and Chinese institutions in studying the history of the two countries, their revolutions and their communist parties.
He also stressed that this is the first time that a delegation from the Museum visits a foreign country, and Cuba was the first choice in light of the upcoming 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both nations.
