HAVANA, Cuba, September 14 (ACN) Political Bureau member Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the National Assembly of People's Power and of the Council of State, held official talks on with his Angolan counterpart, Carolina Cerqueira, to whom he expressed his gratitude for her country's unwavering opposition to both the U.S. blockade and the inclusion of Cuba on the spurious list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism.
On her end, Ms. Cerqueira stressed the significance of her official visit to Cuba to strengthen interparliamentary ties between the two peoples.
Following the official talks, both delegations signed cooperation agreements between their national assemblies and administrations.
As part of her official visit to Cuba, the Angolan official has met with executives and scientists of the Finlay Vaccine Institute.
