Díaz-Canel hails socialism as the reason for China's achievements

HAVANA, Cuba, September 3 (ACN) “Only through socialist ideas of development with social justice can China's achievements be explained”, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel stated in a post on X in reference to his tour of the Museum of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Beijing.

As part of his current official visit to China, and after participating in the military parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of China's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Cuban leader visited the museum, dedicated to preserving and disseminating the history of the organization that leads China on the path to socialism with its own characteristics.

In his message, Díaz-Canel noted that socialist ideas also underpin China's policy of a community with a shared future, which extends the benefits of its progress to less developed nations.

According to a separate message posted by the Cuban Presidency, the museum―created in 2021―uses more than 2,600 images and 3,500 objects and items of high historical value to narrate how the Communist Party and the People's Republic of China were born and describe the reform, opening, and development of socialism, the construction of a prosperous society, and the path to modernization.

“This museum is a convincing portrayal of the mobilizing force of the CPC, which gathers more than 100 million members, as well as a benchmark for Cuba”, the Cuban President wrote at the end of his tour.
