Havana, Sept 2 (ACN) The First Secretary of Cuba’s Communist Party Central Committee and President of the Republic of Cuba is paying an official visit to China on the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The head of state and his delegation arrived Tuesday in China after having paid an official visit to Vietnam.
In China, Diaz-Canel will attend the ceremony for the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. He is also scheduled to hold talks with Xi Jinping and other local leaders, tour Chinese companies and attend the ceremony for the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Havana and Beijing.
The Cuban delegation includes Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez; the head of the Cuban Communist Party International Relations Department Emilio Lozada and Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Oscar Perez-Oliva.
The Cuban President will also visit Laos after China.
