HAVANA, Cub, August 12 (ACN) A Cuban delegation participated in the working group meetings and the 51st Plenary Session of Representatives of the Financial Action Task Force of Latin America (GAFILAT), held in El Salvador on July 28 to 31, the Central Bank of Cuba (BCC) reported.
The meeting gathered the 18 GAFILAT member countries from South, Central, and North America to address priority topics such as the progress achieved in the implementation of policies to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.
The event also hosted the fifth round of mutual evaluations, discussed issues related to training tools and dissemination of prevention policies, and presented new systems to develop training on these topics.
