HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 16 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban Foreign Minister, reiterated today the condemnation of Israel's offensive in Gaza, which has killed more than 55,362 people since it began in October 2023.
Cuban diplomat pointed out on X that in that Palestinian territory, Israel has limited and militarized humanitarian aid, maintains attacks on hospitals and refugee camps, and prohibits religious festivities.
Rodriguez Parrilla affirmed that the Tel Aviv government must stop the genocide against the Palestinian people, and assured that this will not be hidden by the new Zionist aggression against Iran.
The UN General Assembly adopted last Thursday a non-binding resolution calling for an immediate, unconditional and permanent cease-fire in Gaza.
With 149 votes in favor, 12 against and 19 abstentions, the document condemns the use of starvation of civilians as a method of warfare and the illegal denial of humanitarian access.
It also urges nations to use the tools, consistent with international law and the UN Charter, to hold Israel accountable and fulfill its obligations.
