In his message, Mr. Rodriguez expressed Cuba's encouragement and solidarity with the families and friends of the victims of this painful event that shocked the European nation.
Austrian authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the attack, which left at least 11 dead, including the alleged shooter, and a further 20 people injured, while the country is receiving international expressions of support in the face of this tragedy.
Considered the deadliest in the country’s recent history, the attack took place on the morning of June 10 at an educational institute in Graz, Austria's second most populated city.
Cuba and Austria established diplomatic relations in 1946 and have engaged in regular cultural and cooperation exchanges ever since.
